“Baldy pair #420”

Wilsall, MT - 2021

A “Baldy” is a type of cow that is a result of crossbreeding a Hereford with a solid black or brown breed like the Angus, or in this case the Aberdeen Angus. Baldy’s are actually known for their great mothering abilities, which is why I am partial to this photograph. My eye always navigates toward the calf—or baby—when i’m out in the field and this photograph accomplishes that for me.
